Valley of Hope (original title: Clint el solitario ) is a spaghetti western by Alfonso Balcázar from 1967.

Gunslinger Clint meets his ex-wife Julie in a town who left him years ago because of his lifestyle. In order to regain Julie's love and be a good father to his young son, Clint renounces violence and hands Julie his gun. When an unscrupulous rancher and his assistants riot the area with violence and arbitrariness, Clint breaks his promise and begins a lonely fight.

The work was published on February 2, 1967 in Italy and on July 28, 1967 in Spain. In Germany, the film was dubbed in 1967 and announced under the title A man comes back , but not released. The German TV premiere took place on July 9, 1990 on the private broadcaster ProSieben . A year after Valley of Hope , Alfonso Balcázar and George Martin worked together in the Spaghetti Western For a Few More Corpses . The German actress Marianne Koch had already worked in Sergio Leone's classic For a Fistful of Dollars three years earlier .
In 1972 the same director and with the same lead actor shot a remake under the title A lonely returns .
