Tamer Bakiner (* 1972 ) is a German detective , business investigator, management consultant and author .

Life

Bakiner used to live in Augsburg . In the meantime he has moved to other European countries. His company is still registered in Germany. He has been investigating economic crimes such as brand piracy and industrial espionage since the 1990s , but also in private matters such as marital disputes . He wrote a non-fiction book about his spectacular cases called The Truth Hunter . In August 2015, the book reached number ten on the Spiegel bestseller list in the non-fiction / paperback category .

Together with ZDF editor Andreas Halbach , Bakiner was involved in uncovering a major garbage scandal in eastern Germany in 2008. In 2015 Bakiner researched together with the ZDF editors Andreas Halbach, Heiko Rahms and Thomas Münten on the illegal trade in car scrap from the EU to Eastern Europe and Africa. In the TV documentary In Search of My Child , reporters accompanied Bakiner in the repatriation of a kidnapped girl abroad. The TV broadcaster RTL broadcast the first episode of the report Tamer Bakiner - The Truth Hunter on March 25, 2019 . As part of an undercover report for the RTL broadcaster, which was broadcast on January 20, 2020 under the title RTL Special: Caution - False Police! Bakiner infiltrated a call center ring from Turkey to expose its illegal activities. Due to the investigation initiated by Bakiner and the cooperation with the LKA Baden-Württemberg and the Turkish police, 45 people were taken into custody.
