Taranivka (Ukrainian Таранівка ; Russian Тарановка / Taranowka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kharkiv with about 5000 inhabitants (2004).
The village was founded in 1685 is the administrative center of the same name, 114.246 km² District Municipality in Rajon Zmiiv to which even the villages Bespaliwka ( Безпалівка , ⊙ ) with about 590 inhabitants Dudkiwka ( Дудківка , ⊙ ) with about 120 inhabitants, Schadaniwka ( Жаданівка , ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants, Radhospne ( Радгоспне , ⊙ ) with about 5 inhabitants and Rosdolne ( Роздольне , ⊙ ) with about 300 inhabitants and the settlement Bespaliwka ( Безпалівка , ⊙ ) with about 30 inhabitants.
Pishchanka is located on the P-51 regional road . The Smiyiv Raion Center is 20 km northeast and the Kharkiv Oblast Center is 55 km north of Taranivka.
The source of the Berestowa , a 99 km long tributary of the Oril, is located near the village .
