The Schaffhausen tariff association , also known under the marketing name FlexTax , was a tariff association in Switzerland . It was created in 1988 and was initially only valid for subscriptions . In 2013, the tariff association was also expanded to include single tickets, day tickets and multi-trip tickets. The tariff area included the canton of Schaffhausen as the core area as well as the areas of the cantons of Thurgau and Zurich as well as southern Germany, which belong to the agglomeration of Schaffhausen .

With the 2017 timetable change , the Schaffhausen tariff association was integrated into the Ostwind tariff association . The Flextax tariff association was too small to be continued as an independent association in the medium term.
