The Tarnawka (Polish) / Hoštický potok (Czech) (German Tarnau , on the upper reaches of Gosbach or Gos ) is a right tributary of the Glatzer Neisse in the Czech Republic and Poland .

The Hoštický potok rises not far from the Polish border on the northern slope of the Zadní hora ( Querberg , 872 m) or the eastern slope of the Borůvková hora / Góra Borówkowa ( Heidelberg , 899 m) in the Reichensteiner Mountains in the Czech Republic . Its source is on the saddle of the Bílá Skála ( Little Heidelkoppe , 864 m). On its leading to the northeast run of the stream between the center Koppe, the Kaliště (forms High house ), the Vysoku kámen ( Hohenstein , 691 m) and the Pěnkavčí vrch ( Finke Koppe , 615 m) a wooded narrow valley that used the old Gos was named . Below the bridge at the former mill, which expands Old Gos to Kotlinka ( boiler ).
East of Horní Hoštice , the brook enters the Przedgórze Paczkowskie ( Patschkauer Vorland ) lowland at the foot of the Spálený kopec (397 m) and flows into Polish territory, where it is called Tarnawka . The villages of Gościce , Unikowice and Stary Paczków stretch along the stream . North of Stary Paczków, the Tarnawka flows into the Glatzer Neisse above the Jezioro Otmuchowskie .
The stream is 16 kilometers long, 6.2 kilometers of which are in the Czech Republic. The Czech part of the catchment area covers 6.23 km² and 93 people live there. The average flow rate on the Polish-Czech border is 0.098 m³ / s.
