The Tate River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Queensland . It is located in the Far North Queensland region .

River course

The river arises approximately 120 km west of Innisfail in the Atherton Tablelands , part of the Great Dividing Range , from California Creek and Packsaddle Creek . The Tate River flows northwest and flows into the Lynd River at Torwood in the north of Bullinga National Park .
