Tatiana Samouil

Tatiana Alexandrovna Samouil or Tatiana Samouil ( Russian Татьяна Александровна Самуил ; born October 5, 1974 in Perm , Soviet Union ) is a Russian-Belgian violinist. She is the sister of the opera singer Anna Samuil .

Life

education

Tatiana Samouil comes from a family of musicians and received her first violin lessons at the age of six. Three years later she gave her first recital and made her debut as a soloist with the National Orchestra of Moldova. Tatiana Samouil studied with great masters like Maja Glezarova at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory , where she graduated with a soloist diploma. Later she was accepted into the master class of Igor Oistrach at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels and into the "Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth" (master's degree with special prize Maurice Lefrank ), she completed her studies with José-Luis Garcia in "Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía" in Madrid.

Concert activity

After winning numerous competition prizes, her international career began as a soloist with orchestras such as the Belgian National Orchestra, the Orchester Symphonique de la Monnaie, the Finnish Radio Orchestra, the Toulouse National Chamber Orchestra, the Brandenburg State Orchestra , the Bonn Classical Philharmonic, the Bucharest Radio Philharmonic and the Holland Sinfonia , the Russian National Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the German Chamber Orchestra Berlin. Career

From 2003 to 2006 Tatiana Samouil taught at the Namur Conservatory. Since 2004 she has been professor of violin at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth and since 2002 first concertmaster of the Orchester Symphonique de la Monnaie .

In 2006, Tatiana Samouil received 4 stars from the French music magazine Le Monde de la Musique and 5 stars from the renowned music journal Diapason for her CD recording of all works for violin and piano by Prokofiev (with Plamena Mangova) .
