action

In the event of a failed attack on a money messenger, the robber shoots him. When the perpetrator wants to withdraw, he cannot use his parked car and without further ado flees in a bank customer's car. Only while driving does he notice a girl who is in the back seat. Fortunately, this was found unharmed a short time later. The perpetrator had parked it and his car on a side street.

Ritter and Stark are called to the location of the attack and find out that a much higher amount of money should be delivered on that day than is otherwise the case. Therefore, they suspect that the perpetrator knew about it. Strangely enough, the fur trader Peter Forster ordered this large amount of money and the robber then flees in the car of his wife Jennifer Forster, who was just about to do something in the bank. With the help of Maike Forster, the investigators can create a phantom picture of the perpetrator and find out that he had worn leather head protection as camouflage. This tip leads the investigators to a boxing club, where the trainer recognizes his boxing student Nico Durow based on the phantom image. When he notices the police officers, he flees and is seen by Maike and her mother by chance. First, Jennifer Forster wants to call the police, but she comes up with the idea of using this man for her personal goals. For not betraying him, he should help her to protect her from her husband and his plans. The native American wants to fly to America alone with his daughter. Their marriage is broken and both fight over the child by all means. The situation comes to a head when Peter Forster locks his wife out of the shared apartment after an argument.

The next day, Peter Forster is found dead in the house and Maike Forster has disappeared. The police assume a kidnapping case, but in the course of the day the girl appears safely at the bureau at Ritter and Stark's. The clever girl had climbed out the window when she noticed that a strange man was in the house. A taxi driver then took Maike to the police and she reveals to the investigators that it was the same man who stole the car and that she knows where he would live. So she leads the investigators to the little corner bar where she had seen Nico Durow. When they arrive there, the wanted person has Jennifer Forster in his power. She had instructed him to fetch Maike from her apartment and now wanted him to hand over the child to her. Little did she suspect that Maike was not in his care and then got into an argument with him. Afraid of being arrested, Durow escapes to the roof of the building and throws himself from there to his death.

criticism

The website “wiewardertatort” judges this film cautiously and writes: “Unfortunately it is [...] above all the actual coincidences that are less related to the murder and that make the story rather outrageous for a long time.” “Less would definitely be more been - apart from the opening sequence excellently staged by director Ralph Bohn (Eine Ehrliche Haut), [just a shake of the head for the] more than idiosyncratic knight outfits and Axel Schulz acting badly. "

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm think this crime scene offers "bitter-tragic chain reactions."
