Pigeon tower in Châtillon-la-Borde

The pigeon tower (French colombier or pigeonnier ) in Châtillon-la-Borde , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 16th century. The pigeon tower at No. 15 Grande-Rue has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1987 .

The round pigeon tower made of quarry stone was renovated between 1985 and 1988. The tapering two-storey structure on the roof is remarkable.
