The pigeon tower (French colombier or pigeonnier ) in Mauperthuis , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region , was built by Claude-Nicolas Ledoux in 1763 . In 1983, the pigeon tower at Place de la Fontaine No. 7 was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique .

The round tower made of plastered quarry stone masonry is one of the few remains of the former palace complex. The lower part of the building was originally used for agriculture and above it were the pigeon nests.
