The pigeon tower (French colombier or pigeonnier ) in Coulommes , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in 1730.
history
The pigeon tower at No. 24 Place de l'Église has been on the list of architectural monuments in France since 1987 as Monument historique .
The round pigeon tower made of quarry stone was created from a tower of a hospice that no longer exists. The adjacent farm integrated the tower into its property. The ground floor consists of a hall with a vaulted ceiling supported by a central column. Above is the room with the pigeons' nests.
