Baptismal font in Lassy

The baptismal font in the Catholic Church of Notre-Dame de la Nativité in Lassy , a French parish in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was created in 1556. In 1912, the Renaissance- style baptismal font was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique .

The round stone baptismal font has the following inscriptions:

"Bon IHS fontaine de vie de vous nostre amour ne dévie" (Kind Jesus, source of life, our love does not deviate from you)
"Haurietis aquas de fontibus salvatoris" (You will draw water from the sources of the Redeemer)
הַיְשׁוּעָה (ha jeschu'ah - the redeemer / salvation [last word of Isaiah, Christian interpreted to Jesus ])
"Esa [ias] 12" (Isaiah 12)
"Dece [mbre] 1556"
