Taylor Campbell (born June 30, 1996 in Slough ) is a British hammer thrower .
Athletic career
Taylor Campbell gained his first international experience at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where he was eliminated with 71.49 m in the hammer throw qualification. In 2014 he reached the final of the Junior World Championships in Eugene and finished ninth there with 73.12 m. In 2015 he took part in the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna , Sweden , where he came in sixth with 75.63 m. Two years later he was fourth at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz with 70.59 m.
In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time and finished fifth there for England with 72.03 m. The following year he won the bronze medal at the Summer Universiade in Naples with a width of 73.86 m and had to admit defeat to the Turkish Özkan Baltacı and Serhij Reheda from Ukraine.
Campbell is a student in Sports Science at Loughborough University .
