Hill was not considered in the 2017 NFL Draft , mainly because his college career was overshadowed by several serious injuries and it seemed so doubtful whether his health was even up to a professional career. But he was then signed as a free agent by the Green Bay Packers . He took part in the entire preparation, was used in all games of the preseason , but was sacked just before the start of the regular season .

Since 2018 he has been used increasingly together with Drew Brees . Two nominal quarterbacks are on the field at the same time, which makes the offense even more difficult for the opponent to calculate. Hill is used as a passer, pre-blocker or as a running back . He also acts as a kick returner and is intended as a replacement holder should Thomas Morstead fail.
