Tazalt (also Tazelt ) is an administratively to the rural community ( commune rurale ) Talat N'Yaaqoub in the Moroccan province Al Haouz in the region Marrakech-Safi in the Atlas belonging Berbersdorf ( douar ) with about 500 residents.

Tazalt lies at about 1400 m above sea level. d. economy
Until well into the 20th century, the inhabitants of the Bergoase lived as self-sufficient farmers from agriculture, which also included cattle breeding (sheep, goats, chickens); Retail trade and handicrafts also played a certain role. history
In the absence of written records, almost nothing is known about the ancient history of the place. The Goundafa tribe, who immigrated to the Nfiss Valley in the 19th century, cooperated with the French colonial rulers and formed a regional counterweight to Thami El Glaoui's claim to supra-regional power .
