With the characters Alexander Kowalski, a main character from Cologne 50667 was taken over to place the series in the same series universe . The actual plot of the series started in the mother series Cologne 50667. The plot around the character Raphael was previously told there in a few episodes. The first episode of Team 13 follows on from episode 1453 of Cologne 50667, which was broadcast shortly before on RTL II.
