Teodoro Cruz Bacani Jr. (born January 16, 1940 in Bataan ) is a Filipino clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Novaliches .

Life

Teodoro C. Bacani attended the "Instituto de Mujeres (Roseville College)" in Manila and "Letran College". He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the "San Jose Seminary" and was ordained a priest on December 21, 1965 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Diocese of Iba . After ordination, he completed a theological-dogmatic doctoral degree from 1968 to 1971 at the Pontifical Gregorian University .

He then held various positions: Vice-Congregation of the community of San Antonio, Zambales (1966–1968), Vice-Congregation of the community of San Narciso, Zambales (1971–1976), Diocesan Director of Catechesis, Zambales (Iba) (1971–1984) , Pastor and Director of the "St. James" School, Zambales (1976–1979), Professor of Theology at the San Carlos Seminary, Manila (1979), Professor of Theology at the "Loyola School of Theology", Manila (1980–1984 ), Dean of the Faculty of Theology, San Carlos Seminary, Manila (1982–1983) and Advisor for Theology, Archdiocese of Manila (since 1982).

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Gauriana and auxiliary bishop in Manila on March 6, 1984 . The Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines , Bruno Torpigliani , donated him episcopal ordination on April 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Amado Paulino y Hernandez , auxiliary bishop in Manila , and Paciano Basilio Aniceto , bishop of Iba .

On December 7, 2002, he was appointed Bishop of Novaliches , and on January 16, the next year, he was instituted. He resigned from his office on November 25, 2003.
