Ternowa ( Ukrainian Тернова ; Russian Терновая Ternowaja ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Kharkiv with about 3000 inhabitants (2001).
The village founded in the early 18th century (other sources after 1695) has an area of 3.83 km² and administratively belongs to the settlement council of the urban-type Vvedenka in the Chuhuiv district located 5 km to the east .
Ternowa is located on the bank of the Udy 20 km west of the Rajonzentrum Tschuhujiw and 33 km southeast of the Oblast center Kharkiv . The Kharkiv – Balashov railway runs along the village .
