Terren Harbut (born April 2, 1983 in Lexington , Kentucky ) is an American basketball player .

Life

He started playing basketball in high school in Ohio in 2000 . Harbut was then initially active in Utah for the Dixie State College in the NJCAA . With the college basketball team he was able to win the championship in the NJCAA in 2002 and finished third in 2003. After junior college he went back to Ohio University and played for the Bobcats in the NCAA . There he completed all 60 league games, where he was on the grid 54 times, and was able to qualify with the team in his senior year 2005 for the finals. At the Bobcats, Harbut was a constant shooter averaging nine points per game. His best performance was 19 points. He achieved an average of 4 rebounds per game.

He then moved to the Hertener Löwen in Germany , where he played in the 2nd Basketball Bundesliga North together with the former Bobcat Patrick Flomo in the 2005/06 season . In Herten Harbut reached 18 points and 8 rebounds with an average playing time of 30 minutes per game. The winger, who usually plays in the small forward position, is 1.98 m tall and weighs 106 kg.

Harbut then played for a year at Central Kentucky Express in the Kentucky Basketball Developmental League . At the beginning of the 2007/08 season he was in the squad of the Paderborn Baskets together with the former Bobcat Steven Esterkamp . Before the start of the season, however, the Baskets replaced Harbut with Billy McDaniel. He then moved back to the second German league to the Dragons Rhöndorf in the Pro A .

On November 28, 2008, Harbut was signed with BV Chemnitz 99 . There he played until the end of the 2010/2011 season. After a one-year break, Harbut returned to Germany and received a contract with ETB Wohnbau Baskets Essen for the 2012/2013 season.
