Terrence Michael "Terry" Pegula (born March 27, 1951 in Carbondale , Pennsylvania ) is an American entrepreneur and owner of the NFL team Buffalo Bills and the NHL team Buffalo Sabers .

Career

Terrence Pegula attended high school (Preparatory School) in Scranton and then took up a degree in mathematics at Pennsylvania State University , which he completed in 1973 as a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.). He then worked in the petroleum industry, first at Getty Oil in Victoria (Texas) , then at Felmont Oil Co., for which he had worked in Olean (New York) since 1975 . In 1983 he founded East Resources , which was also active in the oil and gas industry.
