Tessenowweg (Hanover)
The Tessenowweg in Hannover is in the postwar period created in 1952 Road in Hanover district Kirchrode . The longer of the two arms of the road, which branches off from Kirchröder Ostfeldstrasse, leads in full length along the Anderten cemetery, which is a listed building .
The street named after the architect Heinrich Tessenow leads to the residential and studio building by Wilhelm Hübotter, which was built earlier in 1950 .
Another special feature of the road is the boulder , which weighs around 10 tons and is protected as a natural monument under the number ND-H 227 (formerly ND-HS 19), on the southwestern edge of the property at Tessenowweg 11 , which has been placed under protection due to the rarity of its weight . The triangular wind grinding stone with the dimensions of about 2.5 × 1 × 1.5 meters was found during excavation work in the area of the ground moraine on Süsseroder Weg.
Charis Verlag , which is also well known abroad, had its headquarters in Tessenowweg ; “Tessenow-Weg 11” was also the address in Curd Ochwadt's correspondence with the Romanian writer Alfred Kittner .
