Tetjana Hamera-Schmyrko ( Ukrainian Тетяна Гамера-Шмирко , English transcription Tetyana Hamera-Shmyrko; born June 1, 1983 in Hrada , Ternopil Oblast ) is a Ukrainian marathon runner .

In 2011 she won the Krakow Marathon in 2:28:14 h and came in 15th place at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu .

The following year she set a national record in second place in the Osaka Women's Marathon with 2:24:46 h and qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In preparation, she finished fifth in the Prague Half Marathon . In the Olympic race, after the breakup of the leading group, she worked her way up from 23rd place at 25 km to the finish line to fifth place and improved her national record to 2:24:32 h.

In 2013 she won the Osaka Women's Marathon, but despite a further improvement to 2:23:58 h, she was unable to regain the national record that Olena Schurchno had wrested from her.

In 2014 she defended her title in Osaka, and in 2015 she won for the third time in the fastest time of 2:22:09 h.

In November 2015, the Ukrainian Athletics Federation announced that she would be banned for four years until September 29, 2019 for doping , which was revealed by conspicuous irregularities in her biological passport .
