Tevfik Köse (born July 12, 1988 in Düsseldorf ) is a Turkish football player who also has German citizenship. His parents come from the Turkish province of Bayburt .

Career

society

Tevfik Köse's first professional position was the second team from Bayer 04 Leverkusen , which awarded him to the Turkish club Ankaraspor . Here he made his debut on September 2, 2007 against Kasımpaşa Istanbul in the first division and scored his first goal in this game. At the end of the season he returned to Leverkusen.

Before the start of the 2008/09 season , Bayer Leverkusen loaned him to a Turkish club again, this time to Kayserispor . After the season, Kayserispor did not take advantage of the option to purchase.

In the winter break of the 2009/10 season , Köse moves to Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor . Decisive for Köse's transfer commitment was the fact that Istanbul BB was coached by Abdullah Avcı , the coach with whom Köse had already worked successfully on the Turkish U-17 national team.

After Istanbul BB's relegation to the TFF 1st Lig in the summer of 2013, Köse left the club and switched to the new first division club Çaykur Rizespor .

For the 2015/16 season Köse moved to the second division Boluspor , after a year to Adana Demirspor and half a season later to Büyükşehir Gaziantepspor . He also left this club after a season and moved to the Istanbul district club Tuzlaspor . Again just four months later, he joined third division Sakaryaspor in January 2018 .

National team

With the Turkish U17 national team , he became European champion on May 14, 2005.

Köse went through all Turkish national youth teams from the Turkish U-16. In 2005 he took part with the Turkish U-17 in the U-17 European Football Championship 2005 and ended up winning the tournament. With his six tournament goals, he was the top scorer of the tournament and played a key role in the success of his team. In the same year he took part in the U-17 World Cup in 2005 and finished fourth with his team. The squad included players like Nuri Şahin and Deniz Yılmaz .

As part of the Toulon 2012 tournament , Köse was nominated for the second selection of the Turkish national team in May 2012 . The Turkish A2 nominated players who were younger than 23 years to meet the age requirements for the tournament. The team made it to the finals and was subject to Mexico's selection. Köse was one of the top performers on his team during the tournament.
