The THV Cup is organized annually by the Thuringian Handball Association (THV).

mode

In addition to the ongoing games in the handball leagues, the cup competition is contested in the elimination process. All teams of the current season take part.

The THV-Pokal will be played in a total of six consecutive knockout rounds with the final as the last round. In the first round, the teams of the association classes and association leagues compete against the national league clubs. In the second round, the teams of the Thuringian League and the Central German Oberliga get on .

The THV Cup winner is entitled to participate in the DHB Amateur Cup in the following season .

Statistics 2019/20

Game operations were suspended on March 12, 2020 until at least April 19, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic . On April 21, 2020, the THV Presidium decided to cancel the THV championships in all leagues. Thus, no cup winner 2019/20 has been determined. The 2019/20 cup competition will continue and will continue in the current 2020/21 season.
