The Big Shave is a 5-minute short film directed by Martin Scorsese in 1967 . He is also known under the name Viet '67 .

action

A man shaves in a white bathroom. He doesn't seem to notice that he's cutting himself all the time. His blood runs down his face and body and drips into the sink. Finally he puts his razor on the sink, the picture fades into red.

The short film is interpreted as a commentary on America's involvement in the Vietnam War . It was produced at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. The swing number that is played throughout the film is I Can't Get Started by Bunny Berigan .
