The Detonator - Burning Steel (Original title: The Detonator ) is an American action - thriller from the year 2006 with Wesley Snipes and Silvia Colloca in the lead roles.

Sonni Griffith is a retired CIA agent who has retired. The apparently beautiful idyll and village life are not permanent. The United States armed forces need their best man to do a top secret job. Griffith is supposed to travel to Romania and transfer the international arms dealer Jozef Bostanescu there in Bucharest . But at this point in time, Griffith flees and ends up in prison. At the expense of the CIA, he is released and contacts Nadia Cominski. Jozef wants to kill Nadia at all costs because she knows about the 30 million dollars in black money that Bostanescu wants to use to buy the chemical weapon of mass destruction "Razor". Sonni, who wants to avert a disaster, fights bitterly against Jozef. After a few skirmishes between him and his henchmen, Griffith and Nadia can defeat him and save thousands of people from their end. They end up becoming a couple.
