The New Dominion is a Dutch melodic death metal band from Tilburg , which was founded in 2006.
history
The band was founded in March 2006 by the drummer Yuma van Eekelen, the guitarist Tom Adams, the singer Bart Schoorl and the bassist Marc van Stiphout. After a six month search, Michiel Oskam joined the band as the second guitarist. After the band had developed the first songs, they released the EP ... and Black Gleams the Eye in March 2007 . Various live performances followed and played with bands such as Six Feet Under , Belphegor , Nile and Behemoth until the band signed a contract with Neurotic Records in May 2008 . In 2009 the label released their debut album … and Kindling Deadly Slumber . The release was followed by a European tour with Pestilence and Vreid . This was followed by a one-year break so that the band members could devote themselves to various solo projects. Then in early 2010 they started writing new material. In the following years Marc van Stiphout left the band.
style
The band plays melodic death metal, with the vocals alternating between clear and guttural vocals . Sometimes influences from Thrash Metal can also be heard.
