Neurotic Records is an independent extreme metal label, with the main focus on death metal .
background
The label was founded by Ruud Lemmen in Tilburg ( Netherlands ) towards the end of 2003 . He was previously active for the European administration of the US label Unique Leader Records .
In the following years, the label continued to rise, mainly through contracts with high-ranking artists, especially those who were previously under contract with the prestigious Unique Leader label.
Neurotic Records also has a lot to do with the annual death metal festival Neurotic Deathfest , a rapidly growing festival previously known as Rotterdam Deathfest . The name was changed to better indicate the team behind it, which was responsible for the organization and made sure that the festival was not fixed in one place, but took place annually in a different location.
In the middle of 2007, the label signed a partnership with the US label Willowtip Records in order to be able to sell albums and merchandising where Neurotic Records was not previously possible. Articles of the label were now available in North America , Canada and Mexico , but also mostly in Europe , Australia , New Zealand and many other countries.
