Visceral Bleeding is a technical death metal / brutal death metal band from Malmö , Sweden , which was founded in 1999.
history
The band was founded in 1999 by guitarist Peter Persson and drummer Niklas Dewerud. Their role models were bands like Suffocation and Monstrosity . Calle Löfgren joined the band as bass player, Dennis Röndum became the band's lead singer and Marcus Nilsson took the lead on lead guitar.
The first demo, called Internal Decomposition , was recorded at Moonshine Studio in the fall of 2000. The label Retribute Records became aware of the band, so that the band finally signed a contract with the label. The first album Remnants of Deprivation was recorded in three weeks from November to December 2001 in the Pama Studio in Kristianopel and in the Salt Island Studio in Karlskrona and finally released in March 2002. Shortly after the album was released, drummer Niklas Dewerud left the band to become bassist with the band Spawn of Possession . Tobias "Rotten Boy" Persson became the band's new drummer.
The following album Transcend into Ferocity was recorded at Flat-Pig Studio Malmö , Sweden. The recordings lasted three weeks, from December 2003 to January 2004. It was released in May 2004 through Neurotic Records . After the album was released, drummer Dennis Röndum left the band to join Spawn of Possession. Neurotic Records re-released Remnants of Deprivation as a digipack with additional extras in 2005. It was called Remnants Revived .
Afterwards the band went on tour through Europe, together with bands like Deicide , Obituary , Skinless and Cryptopsy . They also performed with bands like Cannibal Corpse , Morbid Angel , Suffocation and Nile .
The third album Absorbing the Disarray was released in May 2007. While working on this album, guitarists Marcus Nilsson and Martin Bermheden left the band. After the release, bassist Calle Löfgren left the band to get married and take care of his daughter. Martin Eklöv replaced him.
style
Visceral bleeding is compared to bands like Cephalic Carnage , Skinless and Cryptopsy . The high speed is particularly characteristic of the works. The vocals range from extremely deep growls to very high screams .
