The Nexus (also: The New Nexus ) was a wrestling table that appeared weekly in the WWE on RAW .

history

Wade Barrett started the stable after winning WWE NXT .

The stable was founded after the first WWE NXT season by Wade Barrett , the winner of the same, and originally consisted of the participants of the first season. As part of the elaborated storyline , Wade Barrett tried to storm the main match on June 7, 2010 between CM Punk and John Cena on WWE Raw together with the losers of the season . In doing so, they destroyed the ring and the commentary desk and beat up the wrestlers and officials at the ring. Similar scenes were shown in the next editions. The goal was to get all wrestlers and not just Wade Barrett a contract. The stable then received a contract with the WWE.

The stable was portrayed as a formation of up-and-coming young wrestlers who, through their demeanor, forced the officials to give them important matches. During a match, John Cena was forced to join the formation at short notice.

From August 1, 2011, the only remaining Nexus members, David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty , no longer appeared as a Nexus, which is equivalent to the end of the group.

The group's greatest achievement was when CM Punk won the WWE Championship .
