The "Pretty Little Lightning Paw" EP is an EP by the Canadian post-rock band Thee Silver Mountain Reveries , which was released in May 2004 on Constellation Records .
Overview
The name the band chose for this EP is very different from the names they usually have. However, this name was only chosen for a very short time - on the next album they called themselves Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-La-La-Band with Choir .
Many of the band members swapped their instruments for this EP. Sophie Trudeau, for example, usually plays the violin, but here she plays the bass guitar . Ian Illavsky, actually one of the guitarists, plays the drums here.
When the EP was recorded, it was played on a radio recorder and then re-recorded. This gives the record its very raw tone.
On the song " There's a River in the Valley Made of Melting Snow ", the Hebrew line "baruch atta adonai" (ברוך אתה אדוני) means "Bless the Lord".
