The Return of the Native is an American - British drama directed by Jack Gold from 1994 . The screenplay by Robert W. Lenski is based on the novel of the same name by Thomas Hardy from 1878.
action
Eustacia Vye moves in with her grandfather, who lives in the provincial town of Egdon Heath. Soon she will be bored there. She marries the Parisian jeweler Clym Yeobright and hopes she will move to Paris. However, Yeobright wants to stay in Egdon Heath.
Eustacia has an affair with Damon Wildeve.
