John Boswall

John Boswall (* 2. May 1920 in Oxfordshire , England as John Stuart ; † 6. June 2011 in South Woodchester, Gloucestershire , England) was a British actor .

biography

Boswall was born as John Stuart. He changed his name to John Boswall to avoid confusion with another actor of the same name and managed to work at the BBC and in the repertory theater in Derby . Prior to his acting career, he attended the University of Oxford and served in Burma during World War II . His work as an actor for film and television includes around 60 productions.

Through his stage work he met his friend Richard Latham and his wife Patty, with whom he lived for 30 years, first in London and then in Gloucestershire until his death.

He died of pancreatic cancer .
