The Scandal Rock Band is a German rock band from Ingolstadt . The band was formed in 1992 and released their debut album Rocking Shag in 1994 .
history
In August 1992 the band was formed by the four musicians Carlo Funderburk ( vocals , guitar ), Charly Striegler (guitar), the former Vectom bassist Ralf Dee Simon ( bass ) and Dominik Schnell ( drums ), son of the senior mayor of a city Peter Schnell , founded. Shortly before the release of the debut album Rocking Shag on Vamp Records (distribution: SPV ), the drummer Dominik Schnell left and Peter Lautenschlager came on for him. The album was produced by Robby Gurdan, the later music software developer, founder of the company C-Mexx Music Software and UMAN Universal Media Access Networks GmbH. After numerous concerts all over Germany and initial successes, Reinhold Keck came on as the new drummer, but later switched to Sacco & Mancetti .
In 1998, an exclusive artist contract (Wolfgang G. Schwarz Musikproduktion, Neu-Ulm) and a music publishing contract (Fantasy Musikverlag GmbH, Nersingen ) were signed, followed by CD production and publication in the sales department of BMG Ariola Munich . Due to musical differences with the producer, the second CD called Thy Will Be Done was only released in 2004. At the beginning of 1999 Ralf Dee left Scandal to play with the Garden Gang , whereupon Charly Stiegler took over bass. In 2010 founding member Dominik Schnell returned to the role of drummer. In August 2017 Charly decided to put the bass aside for health reasons and to turn to the guitar and keyboard again, whereupon Dieter Unger was brought into the band as the new bassist. At the beginning of 2018 Didi Kandert replaced Dominik on drums, who had to leave Scandal for health reasons .
The band played as a support act for Bonfire , The Quireboys , Little Caesar (band) , Doomfoxx , Rhino Bucket and Mike Tramp , among others .
