Peter Schnell (politician)
Peter Schnell (born December 9, 1935 in Ingolstadt ) is a German lawyer and politician of the CSU .
After graduating from the Willibald High School in Eichstätt , Schnell studied law in Munich and Erlangen and initially worked as a public prosecutor and judge . From 1966 to 1972 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament and then until 2002 Lord Mayor of Ingolstadt. He could no longer run in the local elections in 2002 because of the age limit of 65 years in force in Bavaria.
Schnell is politically and socially active even after his term in office. Among other things, he was a non-professional judge at the Bavarian Constitutional Court from 1998 to 2008 .
Schnell is married and has four children.
