Josef Listl

Josef Listl (born July 20, 1893 in Lohstadt near Kelheim , † November 23, 1970 in Ingolstadt ) was a German lawyer and politician ( NSDAP / CSU ). He was Lord Mayor of Ingolstadt from 1930 to 1945 and from 1956 to 1962. He was a member of the Bavarian Senate from 1958 to 1969 and from 1967 was its Vice President.

Life

After finishing high school, Listl studied law . During the First World War , in 1915 as a Vice Sergeant of the Infantry Leib Regiment , he was taken prisoner in Italy, from which he was released in 1919. Listl became a legally qualified mayor in Ingolstadt in 1930 ; from 1932 the official title was changed to mayor . He held this office as a member of the SA and NSDAP until 1945.

From 1948 to 1952 Listl was initially a member of the newly formed city ​​council . Four years later he was again the Lord Mayor of Ingolstadt and held this office until 1962. He was a member of the Bavarian Senate from 1958 to 1969 and was elected vice-president in 1967.

In 1965 he was made an honorary citizen of Ingolstadt.

Private

Josef Listl was married and had two daughters and a son. He was a member of the Catholic student association KBSt.V. Rhaetia Munich .
