Theater blue mouse

The Blaue Maus theater was founded in 1993 and is considered the smallest theater in Munich . After renovation and modernization measures, it was renamed dasvinzenz at the end of September 2019 . It is located in the Neuhausen district of Munich in the basement of Elvirastraße 17a and was founded by Claus Siegert ( director ) and Sigi Siegert ( actress , author ) and managed until 2017; In 2017 Werkmünchen took over the theater, which has been headed by Robert Spitz since 2018 .

It is a basement theater without a permanent ensemble . A red spiral staircase leads from the foyer to a vaulted cellar . The small room is approved for 44 spectators and tailored to be somewhat problematic.

The focus is on modern theater. The pieces are based on works by contemporary authors such as Ernst Jandl , Kurt Schwitters , Daniil Charms , Ror Wolf and Robert Gernhardt . The texts are often poems , essays or stories that were not originally written for the theater. Together with the dramaturge Beate Zeller and the actors and musicians involved in the project, a stage play is then created from these works . For this reason, these pieces are fundamentally new and therefore a world premiere . A Saarland comedy is performed once a year .

The work of the theater is supported by the non-profit association Blaue Maus e. V.

The Blaue Maus theater is a member of the Freie Szene München eV network

The new name dasvinzenz refers to the fact that the theater is located in the Neuhausener Vinzenzviertel; it should clarify the affiliation to the district.
