Hamburg theater night

The Theaternacht Hamburg (formerly Hamburger Theaternacht ) is a joint cooperation of Hamburg theaters for the opening of the theater season , at which almost all private and state Hamburg theaters present themselves for one night. The series of events has existed since 2004 and is organized by the Hamburger Theater eV association.

Since 2006, the proceeds from the Hamburg Theater Night have been used to finance the prize money for the Hamburg - Rolf Mares Theater Prize , which is also organized by the Hamburger Theater eV. A part of the Theaternacht Hamburg program is the Hamburger Theaterbecher funding project , the proceeds of which will also benefit the theater award. Here, brewed coffee from the Hamburg coffee roasting company elbgold is dispensed in a coffee mug purchased once.

The theatrical performances also take place away from the stages (in foyers, bars and on an open air stage on Jungfernstieg), accompanied by after-show parties.
