Theobald Kopp (born September 6, 1892 in Krasna , Bessarabia , † January 20, 1943 in Magadan , Siberia ) was a Roman Catholic diocesan priest of the Tiraspol diocese from the German minority in Bessarabia.

Kopp was born in the village of Krasna in Budschak, which is inhabited by Bessarabian Germans . After studying theology, Theobald Kopp was ordained a priest in 1916 . Then he was from 1917 chaplain in Karlsruhe near Odessa and from 1924 in Katharinental am Beresan . In 1928 he was appointed curate of the parish of Strasbourg near Odessa.

In the course of the Stalinist repression there was massive persecution of Catholic priests. From the beginning of June 1935, Theobald Kopp was also summoned to daily interrogations. He was arrested on June 7th on charges of having correspondence with foreign countries, taken to the Odessa remand prison on June 10th, and finally deported to Magadan , where he died in the local gulag .

As a witness of faith he was accepted into the German martyrology of the 20th century .
