The Theodor-Heuss-Schule in Reutlingen is one of the largest commercial schools in Baden-Württemberg . It unites under one roof the commercial vocational school , the two-year commercial vocational school ( business school ), the commercial vocational college , the business school and the business high school .

The school is named after the former German President Theodor Heuss , who was present at the inauguration of the current main building in 1961.

history

  • Forerunner: Commercial advanced training schools
  • 1909–1926 business school
  • Higher commercial school since 1926
  • since 1947 business school
  • Business school since 1967
  • since 2003 vocational college for business informatics

building

Since the school was founded, student accommodation has been a problem. Was taught

  • in the old high school,
  • in the adjoining building of the Spitalhof,
  • in the Hermann Kurz School,
  • in the syringe magazine,
  • in the donation house,
  • in the lyceum,
  • in the converted building of the Siber & Speiser AG brewery.,
  • in the old building trade school,
  • in the new building of the vocational school.

Only after the new building of the Theodor-Heuss-Schule was completed in 1961 were all commercial students in a schoolhouse. The increasing number of pupils soon required an extension. The establishment of IT rooms and the increasing number of students led to the outsourcing of lessons in

  • the pavilions at the Carl-Diem-Stadion,
  • the master school in Betzingen ,
  • the Hofmann School in Betzingen,
  • the Bismarckstrasse building,
  • the neighboring schools of the vocational school center,
  • the main post office building.
