Theodor Brockmann
Theodor Brockmann (born October 5, 1914 in Bad Iburg ; † June 19, 1994 ) was a German administrative lawyer.
Life
After graduating from high school in Münster , Brockmann studied law and political science from 1935 to 1939 at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster , the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the Albertus University of Königsberg . He received his doctorate in law . He was a soldier from 1939 to 1943. In 1943 he passed his state legal examination and worked from 1943 to 1953 for the Deutsche Reichsbahn and the Deutsche Bundesbahn at the management in Münster . In 1953 he moved to the Federal Ministry of the Interior and held various management positions. In 1961 he became head of personnel u. Household Department. In 1962 he was appointed Ministerial Director. In 1963 he became head of the department for civil servants and other personnel law in the public service and reparations.
From February 1970 to October 1970 he was appointed by Hans-Dietrich Genscher to head the Federal Academy for Public Administration (BAköV) founded in 1969, the central advanced training facility of the federal administration in Germany and an organizational part of the Federal Ministry of the Interior. His successor and first president of the academy was Karl-Heinz Mattern . On March 28, 1974, he retired. He is the author of a commentary on the federal career regulation.
In 1966 Theodor Brockmann was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in Cologne Cathedral on February 22, 1966 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He was most recently an officer of the order. Brockmann was also a member of the Catholic student union AV Zollern Münster from 1934.
He was married to Christine, born in 1943. Berlage; the marriage resulted in two children.
