Theodor Kettner

Theodor Kettner (born January 22, 1833 in Stuttgart , † March 27, 1904 in Munich ) was the insurance director and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Kettner attended grammar school in Stuttgart and secondary and upper secondary schools in Tübingen and Stuttgart. He learned to farm on larger estates, traveled to the United States of America for five years and established himself as an economist in Schorndorf in 1856 . From 1870 to 1871 he was a voluntary general secretary at the headquarters of the Royal Württemberg field division. In 1876 he was a co-founder of the Württemberg War Association, member of the presidency and editor of the Württemberg War newspaper until 1884. After that he was sub-director of the German Military Service Insurance Company in Hanover in Munich .

From 1898 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 10 ( Gmünd , Göppingen , Welzheim , Schorndorf ) and the National Liberal Party , which appeared in Württemberg as the German party .
