Theodor Maas-Ewerd
Theodor Maas-Ewerd (born February 6, 1935 in Senden ; † September 20, 2002 in Klosterneuburg ) was professor of liturgical science at the Catholic University of Eichstätt .
Life
After graduating from high school , Theodor Maas-Ewerd entered the seminary in Münster and studied philosophy and theology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University there and in Passau . In 1961 he was ordained a priest .
Scientific career
In 1967 he was with a dissertation on liturgy and parish. Influence of the liturgical renewal on the life and understanding of the parish in the German-speaking area, PhD at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster. In 1976 his habilitation in liturgical science also took place in Münster.
After receiving a teaching position at the Ruhr University in Bochum in 1978 , he was appointed full professor of liturgical science at the Catholic University of Eichstätt in 1980, where he taught until his retirement in 2000.
