Theodor Richelot

Theodor Richelot (born February 23, 1865 - † June 10, 1932 ) was a German officer in the Prussian Army , most recently in the rank of major general .

Life

1885 Theoror Richelot in was Corps Normannia Konigsberg recipiert . Around 1900 he was a company commander in the 1st Sea Battalion . In 1901 he was awarded the Royal Crown Order, fourth class with swords. In the Federal Archives are preserved his diaries from trips to Norway and the West Indies , especially about its use in China in the 1900/01 German expedition armed forces after the assassination Clemens von Ketteler . It led to the end of the Boxer Rebellion . He himself was probably directly involved in punitive measures, which his diary entries suggest, as well as in looting. In 1902, as captain , he received the Knight's Cross, Second Class with Oak Leaves and Swords of the Order of the Zähringer Lion .

In 1907 he was assigned to Grenadier Regiment No. 1 as a member of the II. Sea Battalion and adjutant at the command of the North Sea naval station . In 1910 he was a captain in the Königsberg garrison in Prussia and in 1912 he was transferred from there as a major from the staff of the Guards Grenadier Regiment No. 5 to the Fusilier Regiment No. 90 as battalion commander. In 1914 he was the leader of the Hamburg Infantry Regiment (2nd Hanseatic) No. 76 . From December 27, 1914 to May 30, 1915 he was in command of the infantry regiment "Herzog von Holstein" (Holsteinisches) No. 85 and from the beginning of October 1915 to February 1916, as a lieutenant colonel, he was in command of the Fusilier Regiment No. 35 . In 1922 he was promoted to major general. He retired as a characterized major general in Berlin (Winterfeldstrasse).
