Theodor von Muncker
Johann Theodor von Muncker (born May 29, 1823 in Bayreuth ; † February 14, 1900 there ) was a German administrative lawyer and local politician.
Muncker was from 1851 second and from 1857 first legally qualified magistrate of his hometown. From 1863 until his death he was the legally qualified mayor of Bayreuth. He played a key role in Richard Wagner choosing the city as the location for his festival .
He was buried in the Bayreuth city cemetery.
