Albert Preu
Albert Preu (born April 12, 1868 in Castell ; † June 14, 1944 in Bayreuth ) was a German administrative lawyer and local politician.
Career
After graduating from high school in Schweinfurt, he studied law at the Universities of Erlangen and Munich. During his studies in 1887 he became a member of the Bubenruthia Erlangen fraternity . After completing his legal preparatory service, he joined the city of Bayreuth in 1894 as legal counsel. In 1908 he was elected assistant mayor in 1919, succeeding Leopold of Casselmann for mayor . Belonging to the conservative camp, Preu remained in office until he retired in April 1933.
