Thierry Chenal (born November 2, 1992 in Aosta ) is a former Italian biathlete .

Thierry Chenal from CS Esercito has been a member of the Italian national team since 2011. He made his international debut at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě , where he achieved a 34th place in the sprint as the best individual result and won the silver medal behind the Russian representation in the relay race together with Benjamin Plaickner and Maikol Demetz . In 2013 he missed a second relay medal as fourth in Obertilliach by just one place, 35th place in the pursuit was the only top 40 placement in individual races. Chenal achieved better results in the junior races of the Biathlon European Championships 2013 in Bansko , where he was 15th in the sprint and 21st in the pursuit.

Chenal made his international debut among men in 2012 as part of an IBU Cup sprint race in Ridnaun and missed the pursuit by one place in 61st place. In the following season he reached the points for the first time in the same place with 17th place in an individual. It is also the Italian's best result so far in the second highest racing series. The first international men 's championships were the 2014 European Biathlon Championships in Nové Město na Moravě, in which Chenal was 57th of the individual, as 62nd of the sprint missed the pursuit by two places and with Giuseppe Montello , Thomas Bormolini and Pietro Dutto as the starting runners Tenth in the relay race.
