Giuseppe Montello starts for AS Monte Coglians . He made his international debut at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2013 in Obertilliach , where he was 21st of the individual, 20th of the sprint, seventh in the pursuit and in the relay race as fourth-placed with Benjamin and Andreas Plaickner and Thierry Chenal just missed the bronze medal by one place. This was followed by the junior races of the Biathlon European Championships 2013 in Bansko , where Montello was 47th in the individual, 30th in the sprint and 28th in the pursuit. Later in the year he won the sprint title at the junior races of the 2013 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Forni Avoltri and was fifth in the pursuit. The 2013 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Forni Avoltri became the first international men's championship. At the side of Alexia Runggaldier , Nicole Gontier and Benjamin Plaickner, he won the silver medal in the mixed relay race. In the junior sprint he was fifth, he did not contest the pursuit race.
Nationally, Montello won the junior mass start title in Antholz in 2013 .
