Thierry Gerbier (born September 21, 1965 in Chambéry , † November 13, 2013 ) was a French biathlete .

Thierry Gerbier was a successful biathlete between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. At the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 he was 41st. The 1989 Biathlon World Championships in Feistritz an der Drau brought him a 15th place in the individual, a 22nd place in the sprint and the eighth relay rank. In Borovets he ran in a World Cup individual race in 1989 in second place. In Steinkjer a third place was added in the sprint, in Ruhpolding 1990 another place in the individual. The Biathlon World Championships in 1990 were particularly successful with a second place together with Christian Dumont , Xavier Blond and Hervé Flandin in the relay and together with Dumont, Stéphane Bouthiaux and Flandin bronze in the team competition. At the Biathlon World Championships in Lahti in 1991 , sixth place with the relay was the best result. For the second time Gerbier started in 1992 in Albertville at the Olympic Games . At the competitions in Les Saisies he came in 39th place in the individual and was sixth with the relay. In 1993 he ended his career and was then a ski technician in the French team.
