Thomas Andelfinger (* 1964 in Dahn ) is a German jazz guitarist and composer .

Andelfinger received his first guitar lessons at the age of nine; He made his first band experiences in 1978. From 1986 to 1992 he played in the jazz-rock project Al Capone ; with this band the album Empty Pockets was recorded in 1988 . Andelfinger developed into one of the most sought-after guitarists in the southern Palatinate region in the 1990s .

Many projects in the areas of blues , funk , soul , fingerstyle and jazz followed . He also took part in workshops with Frank Gambale and Jens Gebel from tok tok tok . From 1994 he worked in the big band Brass-Connecton ; This resulted in contacts with musicians from the Mannheim jazz scene. In the following years he worked with Steffen Weber and Thomas Siffling in various jazz combos, from 1998 he headed the Andelfingen jazz trio . Other band projects are the Count Spacy ensemble and the Andelfinger-Gass Jazz Duo with Michael Gass.

In 2000 he founded the jazz trio Triologic together with the drummer Rüdiger Ruppert and the bassist Norbert Christ . With this formation he played the debut album Dirty Fingers (2001) for Mons Records ; The album Seasons followed in 2009 with a different line-up (with bassist Christoph Niemann and saxophonist Steffen Weber) . In 2008 he co-founded the jazz quartet Jazz'n and at the same time the Hammond Quartet Org.4 around the organist Ralf Bereswill .
